Arrived at the dealers this morning and we got all the paperwork out of the way first.

Looking round the car in the showroom I noticed that there was a scratch on the rear qtr which was quickly polished out. Looking down its flanks all seems ok with no distortion or warping to be seen, thanks Cass.

There was some water marks on it but that was due to them putting fuel in that morning before rolling into showroom.

Only one key was available and another is on order (Never heard or seen this before? probably gone off the driveway tomorrow!) Interestingly the head unit reports that there is two key adapted...

Ok, so I can see what the others are reporting regarding the stop/start. It does seem to shutdown before coming to a full stop, but at the point it shuts down the autohold is taking over and stopping the car. It will take a few days to get used to but dont think its an issue?

The gear changing with 6,7,8 is odd though. Doing 70 in 8 and lift off, go to lightly feather the pedal and it drops down to 7 with noticable rev change. Having just jumpped out of the t3 it is instantly noticable. I am sure you could be doing 60 in 8 and still pull away in the t3 without it sulking and droppping gears.

I mentioned this to the dealer when i went back for my sunglases I had left in the t3 and he suggested I give it a week and see how i get on, let him know when I go back for my other key and then maybe go out in the managers car to see if there is any diffrence. (There wont be as its the same build)

Overall, very happy so far and love the Nappa seats. I thought the headrests were heated as well but dont seem to be.

Off to have its coating on monday so will update pics then.

Lovely colour and I'd put the gear change issue in writing/email tomorrow stating your concerns from the outset- it might no be enough to reject it but at least you are highlighting it immediately.

I'd also be unhappy about them having to order you a new key - the car would have been delivered with two keys, coded to your car. Where the second one is now would cause me great concern and if they haven't got it, someone else has it. Shocking for a main dealer to present a new car with only one key

As above, someone, somewhere, has a key to your car possibly with a nice plastic tag on it showing the new registration number.

The dealer ought to be taking this seriously.
