so it’s a 64 plate R line, yea I contacted the company many times with what’s happened,they sent another activation SD card thinking it may be faulty but still didn’t activate with the instructions given??

Did you check to be sure you have the latest firmware available installed prior to updating the Sat/NAV?

yes it has never been updated and was on old maps, the thing is the maps have updated but only stays on for 2-3 minutes which is what the instructions said it would do then goes to contact dealer message but don’t want to activate?
Is it worth trying from another supplier do you think?
VW are not use at all and expensive as we all know so don’t want to take it there

The Firmware is a separate update from the Sat/NAV update and has to be done prior to updating the Sat/NAV. You should have gotten 3 SD cards. One would be the firmware update, the second would be the Sat/NAV update, and the third would be the Sat/NAV activation card.

Yes I got 3 SD cards, the last one which activates didn’t not work,the first 2 installed as they should but just not the 3rd SD, it says to install slot 1 and wait for reboot but never done anything so this is where I am stuck on what to do

Have you checked the firmware update was successful and the version displayed has actually updated?
For info when I installed 2022 maps, at that time they needed version 0823.
Also a Vcds scan may be helpful if you have it.

It's diagnostic software. Don't worry about that for now. Did you check the firmware version?

Yes it was the old firmware,it’s the activation that’s now the problem
