warning brake lights

One or two months into ownership of my Treg I had the "Check Headlight" warning...and one was out. I turned off the ignition and went back a little later to check, the headlight was working OK and has continued to do so for two more years without any further repetitions.
May be a sensitivity to a voltage drop. If it is an isolated incident I would ignore it. I did

thanks for that - it has now happened about 5 times in the last two days.
yellow bulb stayed on until ignition was switched off this time. So unfortunately it does
not seem a "one off". However when i check the lights visually - all seems to be ok
I willl take it into Martins VW tomorrow.
It's a bit of bad luck this time. i need the car for my holiday in a few days time.
I wonder if they can switch this warning off until the bulb really goes.
Any good VW dealers around the Lake District area ?. I could go via Chester
and Danes if needed maybe (i.e thats if Martins cannot fix it). But the warning message
is a little distracting.

Martins, ( i.e Basingtoke ) took it in this morning at short notice, and have diagnosed a faulty light cluster. It's the strip one across the top of the back window. Only half of it was working and my wife did not realise this was the issue, until it briefly fully illuminated while she was watching it this morning for me.
I was in the car of course and did not see this on the weekend.

Should get it fixed tomorrow, if the part comes in on time.
I will do the write up for Martins later in the week and give a full report of their service when the job is finished.
