Has anyone successfully connected VCDS to a T5 Touareg and been able to carry out coding changes etc? I can't work out if the new Touaregs have SFD which would mean that VCDS can't do much more than a normal OBD tool.

Have you asked the UK distributor, Gendan?

Yep, they aren't sure. They think it's ok, but I don't want to spend nearly £300 without any kind of certainty.

I asked the question of Gendan several months ago since I surmised, as you have done, that the potential problem now with VCDS is that because the T5 never went to the US, Ross-Tech have not got any direct hands on experience.

The reply I got didn't fill me with confidence either but I thought that perhaps things might have moved on with someone like Gendan helping Ross Tech fill in the CR gap.
