Hi all, well as promised here is the state of play between myself and the dreaded VW. I have spoken with WENDY GREEN, Director of customer services. She has asked for my permission to take my treg to the MILTON KEYNES CENTRE OF TECHNICAL EXCELLENCE (this is where the guy with the spanner has been shown how to use it
) There they will attempt to find the reason for my power loss to brakes.steering and engine. When they find this and if it is minor (which it Very probably is) they will repair, warrant it is safe and return to me after changing all 4 tyres and giving me some 'compensation'. If they find the fault is major(highly unlikely) they will replace the car.
to be honest I don't think i can expect much more. danes at Chester kindly cleared the faults from the cars memory Without effecting any repair and wanted to give it back to me, NO FAULTS SHOWING NOW SIR!.

Its very strange how things started moving rather rapidly after my posting on http://www.autocar.co.uk forum under the title VW TOUAREG PILE OF SH**E, (mind you I did send the page to Paul Willis via email.

Ho Hum lets hope its sorted I miss the bloody thing despite its 'faults' The cold weather is here.
Will advise when Mr Technical Excellence has inspected. Keep on Treggin

Looks good result Dave, Lets hope the resolution is as good I think VW should learn something from this approach for the Touareg and the Phaeton, as both need this type of service. Advice and guidance from a distance is always very suspect.
