Hi I've not been on the forum for a while but thought I'd pass on my lastest Touareg experience. I had been noticing the outside wheel skipping on tight cornering, mainly whilst parking, and remebered this issue being discussed here. It turns out that the stepper motor had failed causing the rotation speed between the offside and nearside front wheels to be out of sync. I mentioned to my local dealership (Vindis Cambridge) that I was aware that this was a known fault and they managed to get a 30% goodwill payment from VW even though this still left me with a ?288.00 bill. I suppose I shouldn't moan too much as the car is 5 years old with 51k. :|
