I am lucky enough to have my treg on a six month 12000mile contract hire which doesnt include service. Can anyone tell me roughly when the first service will pop up or are they very variable. Trying to work out if I will have to fork out for it or not!

Also does anyone know the best treg dealers in my neck of the woods ie Somerset? I've been to silver street taunton acouple of times for odds and ends and they seem as much help as a chocolate fireguard!

Any help appreciated!

It seems that for those on longlife service setting the first service is coming in at about 18k miles, particularly for those doing higher mileages. I'm at 13k and 14 months...no sign of a warning yet.

I do recall seeing a post on here by someone who bought an ex-demo and the service light came on at about 9k :w00t: . Doubt if you'll need it within 6 months though.

My first one was done at 17900 miles... seems to be pretty normal. the only thing that ever seems to upset the service intervals is when the car is 2nd hand, and allegedly gets serviced before it's due.

20000 miles for my 06 2.5 tdi suppose it depends on the driving style, most of mine is motorway
