Hi , anybody had problems with the rubber coating on the drivers door control panel for the windows peeling off. it looks really unsightly and cheap. The Treg still under the 3 year warranty, I was thinking of going back to Pullmans of Durham and asking them to replace the panel. and the wiper blades?

Don't just think about it.... do it :angry2:
Its not good enough, we pay a lot of money for these cars
A VW should not start coming apart after such a short time

I had the wiper upgrade carried out under warranty and its well worth chasing VW for

Had mine replaced under warrenty, no quibble by Listers in Stratford on Avon about 3 months ago.

My Dad also had his changed in his Touran - its a known fault, made worse if you have rings or watched on your right hand.

Also check you rear doors for pitting/corrosion on the outside black painted triangle bits where the window aren't quite wide enough. These apparantly corrode too, and you will feel rust spots if you run your finger down the edges. They changed both without quibble and the wiper arms/blades at the same time.

Any arguement, print this thread off and show them. They can call Listers for proof if you like !!
I have noticed the coating peeling too...maybe i will mention it and get it done too....as you folks say,not s if its a cheapo machine!!!!

got it changed, but the mechy hasnt replaced it correctly, the rear window button keeps sticking !!! a few mill to the rear and all would be fine.
