Hello, I am contacting you from Turkey. My car is a 2015 model Touraeg, I have an rns850 tape recorder in my car, but I get a warning that the navigation function is not supported. No sd card etc. How should I go about activating the navigation?

The version information screen (second photo) would normally include.. Navigation Database Version: followed by a number.

As that is not displayed it's possible that the map database has been deleted from the 5f unit, perhaps during an attempt to update it?

Suggest you check the 5f with VCDS which will show the the database version if there is one and also any fault codes that will almost certainly be present.

No.. the Navigation data is stored on the hard drive within the 5f unit

Don't do anything before you do a scan of the 5f in case there is a different fault.

If it is missing the database then Google
"RNS850 Map update" and hopefully there will be suppliers that will ship to your location.

Also you MUST update the firmware version for new maps to function. The link above includes that update.

If I download the data from the internet and put it on an sd card, won't the navigation load?

If you're asking can it be used directly from an SD card then no it has to be copied to the hard drive.
Have you confirmed the reason for the error message with VCDS??
I strongly suggest that you do. No point in guessing.
