Hi, I have just purchased a used V10 and have noticed that if I fade the speakers to the rear the volume of the sound is virtually inaudible. I have read a few articles that say the speakers in the Touareg are not very good but I find the front ones fine but the volume of the rears terrible.

Can anyone confirm if this is standard or could I have a short somewhere? There is a Parrot bluetooth kit fitted and Trafficmaster - I don't know how these integrate or of they could affect things?

Does anyone have this issue or please could someone confirm to the contrary? Are your speakers noticeably quieter in the back when the fader balance is set to the rear?

Hi Jason,

Yes, I can confirm the same issue. I have a 56 reg 2.5 with exactly the same. I know some people have upgraded the rear speakers because of this issue.
