Notice this, this morning

It has not been going all off the way up for a while now

Finally given up

Taking it in to my beloved VW peops tommorow for them to assess what's required

anyone else had this one and was it a big job

looks like it as they seem to sink into the roof some where

The best bit was I only noticed when I cracked my head on it

:help: :help:

Took it in on Saturday

4 new arms ordered

Sorted
Had a quick look at the hatch on the loaner ive got at the mo

It has a gas strut on each hinge so 2 each side, guess you have to take out the deadlining to get to them ??

Is it the hinge thats broken on yours or are the replacing the struts?

The struts can pop off if you try to lift the tailgate higher than it will naturally go - causing it to crash down on your head :help: Easy to pop them back on though (with a large flat-blade screwdriver)!

Not so easy to change them over - roof lining needs to be dropped to access them. There are indeed 4 of them - 2 for the glass hatch, 2 for the main tailgate.
