Can anyone help????

I have a roof mounted rear entertainment DVD VW fitted from new,whilst the car was in the dealers for a phone bluetooth problem ....another story...... they managed to drain the battery, so when I got the car back it was asking for a code on the screen of the DVD player to enable it to work..... I do not have the code but tried the factory default 0000 it did not take this and the manual states after 10 un-sucssessful attempts the system will need to be replaced..... !!!!

The car is currently at VW and they are insisting I should know or have changed the code neither true.

Does anyone know a way around this problem, as I have now got a very upset 3 yr old.

normaly the code is 0000 and then press the play button, Unless the code has been changed which is not in your case.

I have tried the factory default 0000 and it will not accept, VW have agreed today to send the unit off for a code reset, initially they insisted I would have to pay but after discussions they have agreed to foot the bill as they flattened the battery which initiated the need for a code.
