What are your views on pressure washing your Tourareg. Those of you with a pressure washer do you use it on the paint work. I bought a Karcher several years ago to clean the block paving and wondered if its any good for cleaning the body work. Ideal for cleaning under the wheel arches and wheels though.
Do you need to go over the body work with a bucket and sheepskin mit afterwards.
Any input and advice would be appreciated.

Always power wash mine before washing/2 bucket method. Avoid tyres and parking sensors and keep it a reasonable distance from the body 👍

Exactly the same here.. I like to rinse off any grit from the paintwork before washing. Just don't have the lance any closer than necessary.

FWIW - I pressure wash mine to blast off all the crap, then wash the wheels and side skirts, then with a fresh bucket of water I wash the Treg. TBH I add some snow foam to the bucket so have to use the pressure washer to blast that off. For drying - shammy leathers etc are just rubbish (IMHO) in compassion to a couple of large microfiber towels.

I don't use Karcher, they fail very quickly and are overpriced IMHO - in fact the last one I bought from Screwfix was dead out of the box. I bought literally the cheapest that Argos had for sale and it has been great - Think it was about £40 and when it fails, I'll bin it.

My rule of thunb with pressure / wands etc - if you cant stick your hand in front of it - its too powerful!

My cars get washed once a year when the dealer services them.

And 24 hours later you wouldn't know they've been washed!

🤔 I've had my Karcher HD 655 30+ yrs and it's still working perfectly. I did replace the high pressure hose once to be fair but that's still pretty good.
