V10, Shadow Blue, Sunny Beige. Options include electric towbar, 4zone aircon, tyre pressure monitor, tailgate assist, etc. A few aftermarket add-ons before I picked it up include Playstation2 in rear armrest to play games, cd's and dvd with wireless game controllers, infrared headphones from headrest screens, Parrot bluetooth phone, and GPS camera locator.

A few quick piccies I took at the dealers. Unfortunately took them too quickly, and a few are out of focus.

Very happy bunny!

Kids came along to pick up, and spent whole time sitting in back seats playing Harry Potter DVD while I did handover. At least now I can listen to what I want to on radio, while they amuse themselves in back listening to bands I've never heard of!

Nice salesman Oliver at Heritage Bristol gave them a few new DVD films to play (he sneakily got their ages off me earlier in day when on telephone), and a nice bottle for me and swmbo to toast new car with.

Tale of how I ended up with more washing Shadow Blue, rather than less washing Grey is a long one, but very happy with it, and the combination does work very well.......and have ordered lots of washing and waxing products from Ross to keep it this way!

A few hiccups on the way, but compared to dreadful first port of call VW Reading, VW Heritage in Bristol are gems and have sorted all sorts of stuff. They even noticed one of alloys had a slight mark in when delivered. Ordered and fitted new one before even telling me, then gave me the almost pristine old one which is sitting in box in garage now, for when I almost invariably kerb one.

PS, if anyone knows how to read tracking alignment results, and is interested, I had them do one before handover and have before and after alignments, which I can scan and post

Cheers,
I keep peeking out of the window whilst reading manuals, and wondering if it's OK to pop out 200m to the post box in it or just walk?

I suspect it won't be long before it goes off road. The Jeep only took one month

Congratulations you will love it and it gets better!!!!!
The tracking results are pretty straightford, you should have a colour printout and the indications show the settings, inline-camber etc all should show up as green blocks I don't have one with me now to illustrate. There is a margin of balance/error so if its within the limits they should show green. Anyway really good looking 'tool' and toys, go enjoy.

A very Merry Christmas to you all...

I like the way the Playstation hides away, but still lets the girls change CD's without asking me to handle it.

Other options were DVD/CD under drivers seat, or multi changer in boot. Looking back it was best option as 06 model seems to no longer have pocket under drivers seat which would have been difficult to change whilst driving, and with 4Zone, option of changer in boot runs out of space! Which we didn't think of at time!

Thanks, I've already told swmbo that I love it more than her.

The one option I couldn't specify!
If you knew me, you wouldn't ask that question. Car is now in Berks, and shortly about to head off back down M4 to Wilts from where it came last night.

My first statement might mean I'll be heading straight back down M4 to Berks from Wilts, once I've off loaded presents, food, and booze

Thought you might appreciate the colour

One spec I didn't mention was the fact that privacy glass is actually aftermarket tint, not factory. It's 40% and much greyer than the greenish factory version. Still comes with lifetime guarantee. When the specs went locked sooner than dealer expected, it was only option I had, but in honesty, the colour of the tint suits the body far better than the greenish one. I left it up to the tinter, who was giving me all sorts of options, and told him to go with what he'd do if his car. He said with sunny beige interior you could get away with slightly darker tint, and more grey than green, and did it.

BJS,

We have just recently returned to dark paintwork cars (Allan's Mini) god they are a bugg£er just to get right when polishing. Which has made us move away from some of the products we used in the past.

Our products for dark colour paint work is now:

Klasee AIO ---------------------------- excellent this is what everyone should use
Poorboys EX-P-------------------------- sealant
Natty's Paste Wax or P21S

These were recommended to us also if you check out autopia some good info on there also always hear good things about Zanio but not sure who retails it over here in the UK.

They should be all green... if its marginal it maybe a brick colour .... is it possible to post it in the forum or take picture then post it.. with the readings on so its possible to see what the margins are...
