I had this fault a few weeks ago, took the Treg to local dealer (Vindis, Cambridge) the guys in the workshop hadn't seen this fault before and did the usual plug-in fault finder, nothing came up. They then ran some other diagnostic program which allowed them to remotely activate every electronic part on the car. It was strange to see the seats move, lights come on, windows move up and down just using the touch screen on the computer plugged into the car.Everything worked ok apart from the folding mirrors so they dismantled the wing mirror to check the wiring and found one connection behind the aluminium casting to be slightly loose. Reassembled the unit and everything was ok. By the way it was the drivers side mirror that was faulty.
I must add that I just turned up at the dealers and they put a guy on it straight away, it took about 20 mins to sort and without charging me. They did the same with wiper blades, I bought them from the parts dept. then went over to the service dept. and they got someone to fit them straight away without charge. I can't moan too much.
