Thanks Rob we love it! we sold our R32 golf to buy this and although its not got the speed of the Golf, it has the smile factor when driving it!

Hi Forum people, I just want to thank everyone that's posted all the useful info on here, I am a new member and loving my new V10. I do have a question if anyone can help, I got my Oct 2007 registered 57' V10 a month ago, I understand that the facelift for the Touareg was in 2006, mine has Bi Xenon lights which move with the steering etc, but are the old shape, and there is no chrome insert around the grille? I have seen other V10's like this and wonder if the facelift only applied to the V6?

My car has 15k miles now and was from a VW dealer in Loughborough, It was advertised for ?35k but I haggled them down to ?30k!! and traded my 2008 R32 for the car, I have had the engine remapped an its now boosted to 360bhp and 866Nm of torque, it goes rather well now!

Looks like your car may have been registered late, I think the facelift models came into play in Jan 2007, but of course would be pre facelift cars around unregistered... Think this helps explain towards your enormous bargain... so don't be bitter... You have a lovely looking car there...

Have you got touch screen sat nav..? or should I shut up before you get upset?

Look upon it as you would a MK1 Golf GTi,there's much more kudos in the original model

Thanks to both for your replies, my satnav isn't a touch screen model, its like the one in my 08 R32 a 'normal' one...
I love this car tho, it's like being in a jumbo jet on take off when all that power coomes in! :twisted:

The sat nav isn't great.
I got so cheesed with it I use my old Tom Tom.
