I really need help now.
Rebuilt the tandem pump and rocker gasket to resolve oil leaks.
Now I get oil pressure, stop engine. And it does seem pretty dry up the top now, like a smear of oil on finger when inside the oil filler hole.
I've googled about loads and had a look at the following:
1.Replaced oil pressure sensor
2.Checked the pcv and the valve seemed intact, but the cap didn't stay back on so have ordered a new one now anyway to come ina. Few days. But don't think it was an issue anyway.
3.Had a good look around for splits in any pipes creating extra vacume. Haven't found any, I probably could spend a little more time looking though.
I suspect the oil pickup is blocked or oil pump gone (not so much the oil pump maybe as on idle it doesn't warn me about pressure, only when around 2k revs)
In the pictures attached, can anyone tell me roughly where the oil pickup pipe is located in the sump? I have circled the 2 holes (sump plug and oil level sensor) I know I could gain entry with a camera I have to try and see if the little filter that will be on the end is blocked, and possibly move some of it. But I'd rather someone who has had this apart before pinpoint better where I will actually find the pipe in the sump so I'm not just pointing around in all directions.
I'm not really sure I could mess around with engine and subframe etc etc just to remove the sump. I don't have a support or crane and on a gravel drive.
I'm praying I can get my camera in, see a blocked pickup, and use the little pick as a scraper on it to unblock it, and then engine flush it.
I sort of feel it's a bit pointless using engine flush in its current state when I don't think it's really pumping any oil around?
I did see on the interweb about pouring petrol down and leave to clean what could be blocking it and draining and airing out, but I'm not convinced on that idea like
Cars not been usable for over 1 month and I really need to get it sorted so any input is welcome
