Hello All,

I have noticed on my Touareg R-Line 3.0 BMT 262hp 2015 the oil gauge on the display is not showing the oil level and says it will be in approx. 2 minutes. I have attached a picture.

I have driven it for 3 hours today and have been left parked a few times so I'm sure the the car has been at operating temperature and switched off. It's been like this for a couple of days no. There are not any error messages.

Does anyone have any suggestions why it's not showing the oil level or how to reset the engine management system? Without a manual disp stick I have no way of knowing the oil level.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Best regards,

Charles

Open the bonnet for 30 seconds then close it as this resets the level check.

Then with the engine warm & not running with ignition on wait for 2 minutes for the level to show.

If it is stuck & never shows then the sensor may be faulty.

It would be great if there was a way to get rid of that 2 minute wait warning. I know the reason(s) they have it but with it's slow response time it would be nice to see the level hot or cold (barring using the oil dipstick I added).
