I too have the iphone (3G) and it initially did NOT pair with the Nokia bluetooth....

.... However, I simply retried it and they now speak to each other as intended. Mine has always had problems hanging up by pressing the Nokie button and it still does have the problem but otherwise I can dial using the phone and it works through the handsfree and I can answer calls by pressing the Nokia button.

So, basically - try to connect them again.

Sorry for not replying earlier, I've not been on the site for a while.

I've got the Nokia CK-7W, which as far as I can determine amounts to a small grey Nokia "control" button stuck on my dashboard which rotates for volume and is a push to answer/hang up. It's hardly sophisticated but works through the stereo and allows me to be safe from plod.

I imagine, due to the lack of sophistication, that it is indeed after market!

Have you got an aftermarket Nokia car kit or the VW OEM version fitted.
I couldn't get either of my Iphones to pair

Mal
iPhone does not support rSAP which means it won't pair to any of the VW group bluetooth kits.

Personally I hate the parrot type kits with the little dial so have the option of having a second phone for the car, dropping the iPhone completed (no chance of that really) or just not answering whilst i'm driving.

Have to say I'm really getting into the 3rd option

Delighted i won't have to spend extra cash during our "crunch"

Thanks for all the replies
Can you give some more details on how you did this? Steps? When I set thye iPhone on the bluetooth screeen to make it discoverable I am never able to see the car or the car see the phone.

Also what version of the iPhone software (may be important)...
