My wife had the car serviced at Crewe VW while she was down in Stafford on a training course and about an hour into her four hour return journey her backside started to melt even though the seat is off

Any help would be apprecitated as I am off to Aberdeen in the Treg tomorrow and dont fancy spending a day in a rolling sauna.

Thanks in advance

Had a similar problem in an old Volvo of mine.

Sorted it by just unplugging the connector at the bottom of the seat. Hopefully there is one in the Treg .... but I'm not sure.

Good luck ... else you may want to carry an extra set of blankets to sit on

Hi Kaine

When the wife got home on Tuesday night I checked the seat as I expected operator error but true to her word the seat and backrest were burning hot. Got into the car yesterday to head off to Aberdeen, lo and behold the heating pad was now working with the roller switch, this leaves me with one concolusion:

my wife is a bloody jinx!!!

Thats about right Pilgrim, I let her out to play in my Bowler once, my final piece of advice as she was pulling away was "watch the temperature and turn the fans on at 95 degrees", she came back 20 mins later complaining that the car "smelled funny", this was because she forgot to flick the switch for the fans and the engine was running at 120 degrees - not good for marital relations!!!
