Had the beast to the dealers for the nearside headlight washer leak to be fixed, after having the car for the day..
they said they can see the leak ( funny that, that's why they had it) They can't get to where the leak is coming from and need to take the front of the car off????????. Has anyone any experience of the problem?? and it's likely repair costs??

Front bumper on/off is likely to be at least a couple of hours labour.

Might be nothing more than a loose pipe though.

The dealer should have quoted you a fixed price for doing this. All operations have a set time. When my rear washer leaked in the roof lining, VW Windrush Maidenhead knew exactly what they had to do and quoted a fixed cost. And the fact that they have wasted a day of your time means they should be looking hard at their price.

The alternative is to find a good body shop to do the job for you.

i had this done under warranty bout 2 weeks after getting my car. Seems that the previous owner hadnt used the headlight washers much and the pump have rusted. Had a complete replacement and yes they need to take the front of the car off. Couple of hours work i think.
