After appaling customer service off both Toyota and Audi I generally dread any visit to a dealership.

However, this week I too my 2 yr old Touareg to the dealership and reported 3 issues:

1) Gear selection display had packed in.
2) Some paint had flaked off chrome grille.
3) Wheelnut caps were also flaking.

I was ready to kick off if item no. 1 wasnt sorted under warranty but for once I agreed with our lass who said 2 and 3 would probably be wear and tear.

The result: Looses wiring(suspected) repaired to computer and chrome grille plus wheelnuts replaced free of charge!

Happy days!

(It was Benfield up Newacastle btw).

Robert...

I'd be wary of using Peter Coopers in Pompey... Unless they have a qualified Treg technician... They're able to sell treg's but doens't mena thye have the correct staff to work on them.. Just keep that in mind if doing anything other than a service...

I also cannot rate Breeze in Southampton... 2 weeks to diagnose a flat battery, with only 1 call from them in 2 weeks.. Shocking...

But Colbournes in Guildford. with notice will provide a Treg courtesy car, (2.5 or 3.0) and will come to your door to collect. Secret is notification for them.. And service has been the best I've recieved from 3 dealers... (Have had technicians on site since the day they started selling them 4 years ago)

Just my two bits...

Thanks ... that's really good advice.

The fact they don't do many Tregs was obvious when I testdrove the Black Altitude belonging to young mr Cooper ... now a senior manager with his dad's company.

Initial dealings with them have been OK so I will give them a try for the first service .... bearing in mind what you've just said ... so I will ask them the questions who's going to work on the car.

Thanks again
