Well, after alot of hunting finally found just what i was after!

2.5 TDI, 40k miles (10k more than i really wanted) but i got the visual and audio parking sensors and 12way electric leather heated seats!

Manual tho, some people wont like, but i really enjoy

I was aiming to get one without wood or chrome, i think the lack of wood looks a tad more modern, but mainly becuse of the wood i;ve seen crack

and the chrome, i;ve seen tarnish, at least if i fit it myself it'll be brand spanking

I dont really know what to tell you guys about it you wont know already with most of the stuff being the usual luxury touareg standard

Funny thing I've noticed is how many people say the interior looks nice with all those lights and colours on the dash - and I have to agree. It ain't fussy, ain't gimmicky and it doesn't look dated - Just :winkcool:

As for the parking........I know its a big car but............

Welcome Dubster,

I've a manual 2.5 treg. same vintage as yours, done 34000mls now. I like the manual gearbox, except the clutch is a bit heavy in start/stop traffic. I suggest you speak to simon of e-map, You'll find his thread and contact details in the forum somewhere. You will be amazed with the transformation with your treg.

We're definatly chuffed with the purchase, and thank you all for advice and generally being a welcoming helpful forum!

I dont appear to have a red glow no... i know phaetons have it and big engined passats i think, my mates superb has it, so i did expect it, but it doesnt seem too....

My mates superb tho also has under mirror puddle lights which my treg doesnt

was hoping for them too

Love the lighting. i actually converted my corrado a few years ago to blue and red, and have also done the Golf too.

Altho i was hoping for a sat nav model for white lighting, but never mind, still love the blue

Im not much of a photograher either but i do enjoy trying, i should perhaps post pics of the other cars if anyones interested in vw's in general?

Mine has the white speedo/rev counter lights which i thought they all came with !!!
I believe there is a switch on the back of the miror that turns on/off the red mood lighting, have a look.

There wont be a switch on the mirror, its attatched to the window. no wires, unless yours is fixed tot he roof and has self dipping function?

Mines just doesnt seem to have the red glow. which i dont really miss, but im guessing the affect is supposed to make night driving more comfortable. which would be nice.

You couldnt post a pic off your dash lights could you? never actually seen them lit, but yeah like i say, you either get red/black mfi screen and blue lighting, or white with a colour screen for satnav screens.
