A real brain ache of a company, First of all they charge for loan cars, even if it's a warranty issue. Secondly they are useless at communicating with people. Thirdly, it's taken two visits , (four days for the first and only two for the second ) and the problem still hasn't been fixed. Fourth they lie.Apparantly there are no shock absorbers for a treg in england or germany!!! they have to be built and will take 10 to 14 days to arrive and, it will take a whole day to fit.(and only one mind you as its warranty) But if it was not warrany they advise that they should be fitted as a pair !!!It took me five minutes to phone my local vw trade counter to be told there were six in the country and available on tuesday.
But vw warranty WILL NOT buy from their trade counter incase of problems...
i had to leave because i was going to strangle the little lying s*$t.
it reallly has tainted my view on VW ....Shame

I know.I cant beleive that customer service can be so varid between dealers, surley vw must do some sort of tests to see if they keep up thier good reputation. my expereince with spur wimbledon, and wimbledon audi were fantastic, making you feel like you were important . whereas dovercourt ..put it this way, i'll travel twice the distance now to go elsewhere.

my experience is similar, however it also depends on who I speak too - never mind dealer to dealer.

VW Shrewsbury is my closest big dealer - the Finance guy and Service manager are excellent, however unfortunately everyone else never seems to be interested in customers - shame really

What bugs me the most is they always think customers are on the scronge - want everything for free - whereas most of the time the realiy is we are happy to pay what it costs as long as we get good service

I run my own garage specialising in diesels.I would be out of business in no time if itreated customers the way the main stealers do.They must know the power of the internet yet think we will swallow their sh$t.i can't wait for the next customer to winge about pricing or a real delay in parts....

i'm now thinking its easier to fix my own car

Unfortunately job blogs public will continue to use dealers as they think they have too - also I'm sure the dealer doesn't treat every customer the same way - this is also the problem - they don't seem to recognise how important every customer is. For every unhappy customer there will be a number of happy ones - fact of life for a dealer - shame really

the smaller the company the easy it is to please everyone as 'you' can make sure they are given proper customer service

Mine's going into VW Chiswick next week for a long list of things I want them to look at. I figured that I'd get as many things looked at as possible while the warranty is still in place. It's a sad state of affairs that I am simply assuming that the service will be shocking and that I'll have an irritating time of it. And they charge for a loan car too.

If your dealer is crap, let VW know.

I had my Treg in to my local dealer on Tuesday for a water logged fog lamp replaced under warranty. Great service, simple fix, even offered me a courtesy car (which i refused - didn't need it and the exercise was good - 6 miles there and back !). They gave me a customer satisfaction form to fill in, not sure if it's a national or local thing but they get top marks from me and I'll continue to use them : )

Where is your garage? Can you do service VW Touareg? Just asking as I may come to yours someday.
