Methinks you have just cause to turn up in the service reception and have a tantrum!

Your complaint should be made immediately to the dealer principal.

If the dealer's negligence caused large parts of your car to fall off whilst driving at speed they should be seriously worried.

Thanks for the reply nick , i will be visiting the dealer on Friday, after my phone call with them , they thought it was 'COINCIDENTAL' !

New grille fitted, no charge, lots of apologies. Apparently the mechanic that did the air-con work was in Germany - i hoped he was on a training course ! hopefully that will be the end of the Disappearing grille saga !!

was you able to recover the original...... it happened to me on the way to the airport this year.. cost me about ?270, coz i couldn't retrieve the one that got away (in the middle of the M25) they said i could of damaged before hand.

Hi ross - yes i was able to retrieve the grille ! with a dustpan & brush!, on a night on the town to be told that we had lost our front grille, on returning home this was the case . after much whingeing from my partner , in my drunken state decided to take a walk along the road to where i recalled thinking a rook had nearly hit the screen which was about 2 miles from home - actually think i walked about 10 but still there was enough of the grille intact to realise that it couldn't have had its one screw inserted to retain it. not once did she say no don't go out now darling you're far too drunk you'll get run over !! still alls well !!!
