Hi all does the centre difflock only work in low range pressed my button today and no little light anywhere.

I think so - you have to switch past low range to engage the diff lock via the twiddly on my steel sprung V6, so it would follow that if you have button it would only operate in low range.

Ok thanks for that we only have about 6" of snow here so no need to use low yet just would have been nice to lock it as you would get a better drive split but will have to let the electronics do it then.

yes, diff lock only works in low range, but i wouldn't advise using it on the road. it is designed for slow speeds off road where you need all the wheels locked together and turning at the same speed.

on road it can wind up your transmition and change the handling of the car.

if you can't keep going in low range alone it's time to give up for normal on road driving i think!!
