Hi, i have just bought a used V10 and cannot seem to work out how I get the Comfort Settings to be stored. If I select the doors to auto-unlock and a tick appears by the side of this option I notice that after turning off the ignition the setting is lost.

Should I be doing something else or do I have a fault?

Any advice appreciated?

Thanks.

I sometimes have this too...

Are you useing two keys...? as the two keys sometimes tell the car different things, so you end up with convenience settings being lost.... I've not tried re-syncing the keys... but that may work...

That kind of answer is what MyTreg is all about. A lot of the guys out there may have made the same mistake and never thought of the two key issue.
Paul i think you should get the helper of the week for that one, well done

Re-sync can only be done by the dealer according to the manual. If you mean moving the seat all the way forwards and then back then this didn't work. Found an FAQ on another site and it said to unlock the door with the key, make the adjustment and then lock again with the key - this worked and the settings are saved.

Pretty rubbish for a ?52K car!

The setting I was trying to save however still doesn't work. Auto unlock does not work with Keyless Access. It only activates if you remove the keys from the ignition. Really well thought through!

I have been experiencing this too.

It used to save the settings for a few months. Now they are forgotten as soon as the ignition is switched off.

Is it definite that different keys have different effects on user settings? I have keyless locking. Since two keys are often in the car, how would it know which one to take?

If anybody gets a dealer response about this, I would be interested to hear.
