Morning All

Now, this might be in the manual, so tell me to RTFM if needs be but; I have been wondering what the best way of starting the Treg on a cold morning?

a) Start it up and drive straight away?

b) Start it up and let it warm up on driveway?

I am always doing a)... What is recommended?

Cheers my dears

Start it up, give it 30secs for the oil to pressurise round the engine then go easy till it's warmed up. That's my theory and what I do when I can.

Now, it's -12C here this morning and the torque converter will allow the engine to regularly spin past 2K RPM when cold and climbing hills so not ideal.

Start, switch off stop/start, wriggle bum to get comfy, put seat belt on, chwckmirrors, set climate, lights and whatever else including wipers if needed, then drive off going steady for a while as above.

Don't leave to idle on driveway!

Thanks Gents

You have confirmed that my start up regime (LOL) is ok.

@calumski - I hope you get chance to go and play with the Treg in the snow today! I wish it were that cold round my way!

@NoobyT - You forgot one important system to also turn on - heated seats!! 😉

I hope you are all keeping warm and well!

It's off to the garage at lunch to troubleshoot a weird noise I've documented elsewhere so no playing today. More snow this weekend, playing is planned. This was a recent outing...

Fingers crossed for more of the white stuff and lots of Treg fun!

My Mrs neck of woods. She's from Garmouth. I've spent a lot of time up there but usually when you can see the tarmac :ROFLMAO:
