A recap

Bought my used Torag 6 months ago from Citygate Chalfont.
No spare keys, and no keys for roof bars.

Apparently ordered.

gone through about 4 changes of personell at the garage, all supposedly dealing with it, but in reality nothing happening.

about 2 months ago, finally got to speak to the man in charge - Stuart Walker, very helpful, spare keys ordered, having trouble with roof bar keys.
He then leaves, but new locks for roof bars are on order, and spare keys are in waiting for me.
Handed over to a chap called Martin Sinclair - he'll be in touch.

so left it for 4 weeks, had a holiday, rang 'em up. spoke to Mr Sinclair.

Very helpfull (as they've all been on the phone !!) he'll look it into, find the file etc.

LO AND BEHOLD, I get a call back from a young lady, the part are in stock, when do I want them fitted.

so I'm booked in for next Friday, courtesy car booked.

let's see how it goes.

Sounds like a case f oor customer care yet again VW canot and do not know how to operate a lux car business they should stick to selling golfs and polos to the masses who dont and wont expect a premium service. As a Touareg owner YOU HAVE PAID FOR AND SHOULD EXPECT A PREMIUM SERVICE . Contact watchdog like the rest of us that have had enough !

Sorry, but I do not understand - are you saying that someone who has paid £15-20K for a Golf should accept 2nd class service. Surely you should expect the same level of service no matter what.
Should you really expect a Touareg to be any more or less reliable than a Golf or Polo.........?

My apologies sir, I didnt mean that at all, you should expect a GOOD level of service, whatever you have bought. Whayi I meant was that if you have paid a premium price then you expect service that goes just that little bit extra. A regard reliability then YES I would expect higher reliability your paying for a quality motor vehicle hopefully made with premium parts after all would you expect to have better quality shoes from clarks than you would get off the market?? (if you get my drift)

Sorry for the confusion I am a northerner after all living in the south!

well, I get there nice and early, the nice lady says we've let the Lux Car Technicians know you are coming, they've brought your courtesy car round already, just to warn you, it's a bit smaller than yours, well it's a lot smaller......

Flippin' Bright Red 1.2 Lupo.

Got to be the smallest car ever, I reckon that whole car would fit in the cabin of the T'reg.
Anyway, so there's me driving that all day with my knees around my ears.

Got my keys and locks sorted though.

And Stuart (don't know surname) stayed late on a Friday (instead of going to the pub) until I arrived to pick up - This is GOOD Service I think.
