Hey guys,

Just cleaned the car for the first time in weeks  I have noticed that the chrome strip on the rear bumper of the car where you load stuff in to the boot is bubbling. It looks like water has got under it in places or it is starting to come away from what it is bonded to. Has any one had any issues with this or the chrome strip in general? I will be down to the dealer on Monday to get it sorted under warranty but just wanted to check if this is a common problem?

Cheers

Havent had that problem, but it only takes half an hour to change, the trim is about ?50m they sholdnt make to much of a fuss, as you are going there anyway check your alloys hub caps, they also corrode and you can ask for them to be done under warranty

I polished the chrome bits at the bottom of the doors with autosol chrome cleaner when they became corroded. They all came up a treat.

Thanks for the replies guys.

Furion - Ive already had that problem with the wheels and had the fixed. The dealer just did it and there was no fuss.

Staffs - Cheers for that tip with the Autosol

Hey Guys,

Bit of an update on this.

Finally got round to getting down to the dealer and asked them to take a look at it when it was having its first MOT a week before expiry of the warranty. They took one look and although the problem is hard to spot they replaced it within a couple of days as they had to order the part. No messing about like some dealers do; they just got on with the job and relaced it and whilst they were at it gave the car a full valet
Cant recommend Hayseldens in Barnsley enough.

Cheers

Nice to hear of a dealer that does what they are supposed to do.
Glad you got it sorted.
