Tempted to get some of these. Can anyone who has fitted a set themselves tell me if it was easy or a pain in the *ss to swap over from the rubber ones?

Might even get the parking brake if it's easy.

thanks

Very easy to fit and a cheap upgrade too.....

Just make sure they are warm and supple all you have to do is pull the old ones off and push the new ones on. Easy.

Yep, not too bad, although I found the one on the accelerator a bit stubborn.....

VAG parts is the place to buy them.

Has anyone found a more substantial foot rest to match..??

I've already got the chrome pedals, but the foot rest is just that piece of plastic... is there a cover that'll fit over this.. I've had a look on Tregcentral if there's anything there....

Please help, oh god's of the realm....

QUOTE(prhim @ Mar 7 2006, 07:30 PM)There's a guy in the States who makes these custom order for LHD.? Dunno if he'd be able to make a RHD version.

I'd be interested if he needs 'volume' to make it worthwhile.

Somebody had thier Weetabix this morning!!
Think you are right- RHD/LHD- should not make a difference...

I was lazy, when the Touareg went in for the mechanics to check the alignment I asked them to fit them for me- they did it free of charge- nice people..

You're probably right (wasn't thinking), although I wouldn't guarantee that VW has copied the exact dimensions / angle etc...

LOL... I'm surprised at Kidlington, I thought they were a little more switched-on than that.

Personally, I got mine from VAG parts (http://www.vagparts.co.uk) - probably cheaper too.

These are the part numbers they use (no guarantee these will work for a VW main dealer):

Accelerator: 7L6721647A
Brake: 3D1723173A
Parking brake: parkbrakepad

I'd go with VAG parts, they're very good and friendly.
