Hi All,

Was driving today on a country road and stepped down to overtake a slower moving car and as I accelerated the car check oil light came on. I got home which was a mile away and parked up on the level ground and waited an hour for the oil to return to the sump and then checked the oil manually and it was between the min and max markers on the dipstick. I started it up again and there was no light. Has any one else had any issues like this? Iam thinking it may have been due to the off camber overtake and the acceleration pushing the oil to one side of the engine away from the sensor?

Cheers

hope so...because the other alternative is a dodgy oil pump if the level is OK.

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestions. There isn any oil that i can see in the coolent so it must have been a one off incident. I have covered over 150 miles now since and it hasnt reoccured. I still have nearly 2 years warranty left so if it starts to play up i'll be covered.

Cheers

Phil
