Had dealership call me this morning to inform beast will be in for another week needs a few more parts changing...
So i took the opportunity to ask for clarification on VW's tyre changing policy with respect to the transfer box.
When transfer box fails and has to be replaced it used to be policy to do full alignment and change tyres upto 10-15K The 5K difference was at goodwill (whatever that means)
It has (very) recently changed and now they have approval to change tyres and do alignment FOC regardless of mileage during warranty perid.
This is a straight quote from the senior Service Advisor at a large dealership.
