Inspired by others placing photos, I felt I wanted to have ago (having seen the dust in the photo i think I should have cleaned the car first
)

As you can see I have fitted a Pioneer DVD Sat Nav system along with the Pioneer iPod interface and a Parrot Bluetooth car kit.
First photo shows the lights, second one so you can actually see the install.

ross911rmk, its the best nav system I have used, the mapping is very good and through its own electronics and movement detector, successfully keeps working when in tunnels or under passes. The Post Code search is very effective too. I had this unit in my Vectra prior to installing in the Treg and loved it. The navigation (in my opinion) is far better than that of the VW system (but as I say, that is my opinion). Being able to control it by voice command is also an added bonus and with the rear view camera connected, when you select reverse you can see what you are going to run over (makes me look really good when hooking up to a trailer and I stop with the trailer hook right above the ball hitch!).

Hi.

I thought about getting something aftermarket but i've ended up going for the OE satnav unit just basially so it looks std.

But could you answer the following, does oyur system work with the multifuntion steering wheel and mfi screen? i know on cars like Vauxhalls etc you can, and i persume you need a wiring harness to fit this into the treg anyway, is it possible?

Also, where did you get the adaptor plate from? is it an autoleads parts? how does it look when folded away, and like Ross, id consider getting something 2-Din, dont suppose you happened to notice if there was a double din plate available?

The treg runs a small amp controlled through the DSP button i think.., did this have to be removed for the aftermarket stereo?

You say its better than VW nav, i;ve heard audi is also better, but the VW system is quite good. altho im sure i've heard some say its rubbish.. are you comparing it to touareg satnav, or other VW cars systems, what kinda issues am i not going to like about the satnav unit? im not used to using it at all, so dont know what to look for, on of the cars i tested had it, and i couldnt work it out in the 30 minute test drive
but i persumed id get the hang of it?

Thanks for any info
