My car has an auxiliary heater that you can switch on with a remote fob. Very useful in the winter for melting all the frost off the glass before you drive off.
Well me and my inquisitive mind I thought I bet in warm weather if you use this remote fob it will blow cold air into the cabin and cool it down a bit. So I gave it a go today and Yes it works it reduces the cabin temperature. These Germans think of everything...

On mine. On the heater control panel there are 4 wavey lines on one of the switches on the bottom row. That will switch it on manually. I think those without have the word REST or something like that. Also mine has a 100 litre tank. I belive the others have an 85 litre tank.

I do not have the button with the 4 wavy lines.

I will add it to the list of options that I would have spec'd had I of bought it new!
