After the recent correspondance about Lindvale on this site to which I was one of the contributors I took up the invite from the After Sales Manager to go and discuss the issuses I was unhappy about with him. Outcome we both agreed that the majority of what happened should not have happened and i agreed to give them another try when I needed some work doing on my V10.
Anyway can Nov 30th on way home from work funny/expensive noises start from under bonnet plus vibrations and variable power assistance to the steering. Anyway, its cold and dark decide to leave it until morning to investigate. Quick check PAS seems to only be operating intermitently, cannot find resevoir to check level. Phone call to VW Assistance. About an hours later technician arrives diagnoses PAS pump failure arfrange for flatbed to take vehicle to Lindvale (nearest Luxury Car Dealer) and hire car whilst mine is being repaired. Flatbed finally arrives 5 hours later, collects Touareg but does not deliver to Lindvale till following moring. Golf Plus delivered at same time as flatbed arrives to collect Touareg. Speak to Linvale following day, they need my vehicle on ramp to confirm diagnosis but another Touareg already on ramp with engine out and they only have 1 ramp which will take the weight of a Touareg! Following day call in to find out plans and explain that I am due to go on holiday in the Touareg in 8 days time with the Touareg to Germany towing a caravan. Lindvale order parts they think they might need for repair prior to confirmation of diagnosis. Following day diagnosis confirmed, but also notice lear from rear diff. PAS parts arrfive and fitting started, its an engine out job and VW say it takes 3 days. New diff arrives following day. Fitting of PAS continus, Lindvale arrange for 2 fitters to work all day Saturday to get car finished in time for my holiday. This morning recive a nice clean Touareg back with problems fixed in time to go on holiday tonight.
Definately much better sevice than previous visits.
