The Treg went in for her mot today - clean bill of health but Sod’s law that noticed aircon not blowing cold on way home. Needless to say off on hols tomorrow and the sun is shining! No red light on fan switch when on and also not blowing cold from rear control ( 4 way climate). Before I try to get it regassed when away ( and whicjymay be money down the drain if it’s something more serious) , wondering if there is a fuse to check, and if so where and what number. Any help much appreciated. Thanks

for what it's worth, places like Kwik Fit have a guarantee that if they can improve the AC by a certain amount the regas is FOC.

Thanks. Found my good local tyre place was happy to help by doing regas straight away when I rang them first thing this morning. All seems well at moment so fingers crossed that it just needed a regas.

Stopped blowing cold again so £55 down the drain. Reluctant to take it a dealer - even an independent one- because when this happily me once with an E class they changed and charge for all sorts of things which didn’t last a moment. Took it to a place in Alton that just does car aircon and they sorted it straight away. So when I’m back will have to go there again. I’m presuming a leak somewhere in the system given that it performed ok for a day or so after regassing.

I had this on a T1, it proved to be failed sensors. A local indy sorted it after a VCDS scan.

imho you have a gas leak possibly a stone hit the condenser. Take it to a reputable car aircon specialist. Main dealers often do the same so you may as well go direct.

NoobyT, as it happens the Treg is booked in there tomorrow for diagnosis. I’ve used them before on my Sprinter campervan and can’t speak highly enough about Gary there. I ended up there because various local MB dealers changed lots ( and charged lots) and it still only worked for a short period. So worth the 4 hr round trip!
