Missus came back in and said airbag warning lights come on again. It has already been back to the dealer once for this six months ago. Reckoned if it happened again they would need it for a couple of days....may as well get them to do the recall at the same time, providing they know about it of course

Had this done a couple of months ago. it's a known fault. it's caused by too much tension in one of the harnesses around the steering. Shouldn't take more than a day.

Good luck.

Just booked car in and mentioned 90d7 recall "oh yes sir we will need the vehicle for 3 days" so they are going to sort out airbag and o recall stuff in one hit, would have had to wait to the end of june to get the Touareg courtesy car!!!! So got Passat estate instead.

Mmmm, perhaps there is a slightly slower pace to life in Rural Dorset than in Cardiff.

A simple reset would clear the fault, but doesn't mean than it won't come back. They reset mine while the harness extension was on order and the fault didn't re-occure withing the waiting period. however, perhaps recall 90d7 has a number of other issues and hence it taking a few days.
