Ola ,

Been down in Spain with the motor for about a month now and no problems apart from a stupid spaniard running into the back of me and destroying his Mondeo !

Came out the hotel this morning and the touareg is sitting on its ar#e , it actually looks pretty mean when its lowered onto its bump stops. Anyway thought the air suspension compressor must have decided to discharge the air in the system during the night and give itself a rest !

Started the motor expecting to see the body rise but alas it didn't and "Running Gear Fault " with a picture of Touareg and arrows pointing up and down obviously indicating a suspension fault....

Tried switching on and off a couple of times and adjusting the height level but , it wouldn't move off the bump stops.

Called VW assistance and its on the back of a truck to VW garage in Cadiz as I write .

Anyone had the same problem ? Cant see a thread indicating the same .

I reckon it must be a problem with compressor or electrics not telling it to inflate the suspension . Just hope its nothing serious and dont get a Polo for the weekend as the weathers to be brill....

Last time I had fault with " Running Gear " VW said it was a software problem and just upgraded it but , I have my doubts.
Adios..... :help:

Got the motor back from the spanish dealers earlier , a new ecu for the suspension, nearly 600 euros for the part then labour etc total bill 900 euros ! I had to pay the bill then reclaim through VW UK . Will be interesting how quickly they decide to give me the dosh back...

One more fault then its gone.............

i had the same problem a month ago !!! sometimes it showed this symbol ... running gear fault. Went to a VW dealer in Greece and after they checked it they said that no need to worry ,,, there was something like a sensor that measured the hight of the car from the ground and apparently it had been broken or smth... they said that this is usually icluded in the warranty or smth. I called my dealer before coming back to UK and he told me that he would fix it as soon as i go back.
