My AC is not demisting anymore on my V10 now the warmer 10 degree temps are here. Cold air not coming through the vents, just luke warm air. Any advice on what might be the issue. I presume a pressure test on the AC first, then regas with die and see if I’ve gotta leak somewhere…

I had something similar a year or two back. It was a sensor in the cabin, passenger side footwell stopping the AC system working properly. Maybe have the car scanned before a regas?

Anyone recommend an OBD scanner that works well with Touareg V10. I can’t get my wireless one to work or connect. So need something else.

Ross-tech VCDS from UK supplier Gendan.

There are others but VCDS is THE one to get.

Ah, managed to get my wireless one working... simple mistake it only communicates via blue tooth once engine is started despite the instructions just saying turn ignition on only. I got the following code:

1330 [0x0532]
Comfort Central Control Unit-J393; Central control unit for convenience system-J393; Pressure sensor for air conditioning-G65 signal too small
Status: Test conditions are met, Validated and stored in non volatile memory

0877 [0x036D]
Tweeter, rear right-R16
Status: Pending fault present, Pending fault present during this driving cycle, Test is inhibited by other DTC, Validated and stored in non volatile memory

A couple of suggestions from FB groups have said replacing the air quality sensor G238 located just below the front window screen to the left access panel solved their similar issues. Then clearing the codes.

From the fault code I'd say the system has depressurised (leaked). any place that does aircon could tell you in an instant if that's the case. Problem then is finding the leak and cost of fixing same.

And change the cabin air filter anyway unless you know for sure it's been done very recently.

Cabin filter was done recently during its last service 3000miles ago. I’ve checked it and looks clean / as new. I’ve managed to find a mobile AC specialist who has worked on 4 previous V10. He’s quoting £150-£250 to visit. Do a pressure test / if leaking ad dye etc then we take it from there. He seems to think the rear AC pipes are prone to leaking from memory.

Also the independent car dealer is willing to pay for the repairs pending what it is.

I opted to order a new sensor = £35. Will try it anyway.
