The cost to change will surely be far greater than the few quid you might save at the pump?
personally I would not change hoping and better consumption, I do no see any material technical improvement in the new model. I do not trust official consumption numbers. I recently tested a Cupra Formentor and the consumption was much more than declared.Very true, but we all need to change up when possible at some point. It would be a nice little bonus if the CR7 had improved mpg, even if only a slight improvement.
Overall 23000 miles the screen says 39 mpgIv'e noticed the used prices on the CR7 have started to drop a little, and I'm tempted to change my old 63 plate 7P TdI for an early CR7 (probably a 68 plate).
Realistically, am I likely to see any improvement on mpg? I currently average around 28/30 mpg long term. On long runs I usually manage around 37 mpg, and I can occasionally manage 40 mpg if I drive like miss Daisy.
VW say the CR7 Tdi has improved mpg, but i'm always a bit sceptical about manufactures claims.
What sort of mpg does yours do?
