My 2003 petrol Touareg was getting a little old and I have had the itch to change for a couple of years now. Plus 18mpg average was getting tiresome.

Welcome the white 2013 T3 with air suspension, pano roof, 360 view beast.

What a difference in drive, the difference is astonishing in the handling and refinement. I had cruise set to 75-80 on the 200 mile drive home and it was so quiet inside. The torque of the diesel vs the petrol engine also suits the car very well.

I will miss the T1 as it has been an amazing car! I will also miss the rear opening tailgate glass.

There’s no doubt that the Touareg is best with the 3.0 V6 TDI engine - , very smooth, loads of torque and effortless cruising.

Is it an SE or a run out Altitude model (ceased production in late 2012) :huh:

You have done well getting the Air Susp option on the car ;)

Yes the tdi is nice and 38mpg on journey home was unexpected and very nice.

Yes it’s an SE and the air suspension was a requirement not a nice to have, hence it took 2 years of looking for the right one.

The maintenance records this has is amazing.

The only thing that came up on a VCDS scan was the fuel filler cover mechanism was open or short to ground. Which doesn’t make sense as it is a push to open system.

There is a motorised locking actuator that is part of the central locking system, so that when the car is locked nobody can easily syphon out your fuel

Ah, that would make sense. I have just checked and I can open the fuel filler flap while it’s locked. Thanks.
