Just out of interest how can the Touareg (7P) whilst jacked up be safely put into neutral so the wheels can be spun?

Thanks in advance,

Rob

I don't think you can get the gear lever into neutral without the engine running.

Thanks, so back to the original question, what do you have to do to the car to spin the wheels say for instance if you were to check brake discs running true?

In the absence of a lift, jack one side at a time. I do this when swapping wheels to even out tyre wear.

Chock the grounded wheels front and back.

Thanks Colin, so the engine has to be running and in neutral for the wheels to freewheel obviously with the parking brake and the hold brake switched off. Thanks.
