I don't give the car any stick until it warms up, so I have only had it happen when it's hot and in Drive. the Dealers Mechanic did advise me to use sport mode to prevent it happening, and it hasn't happened in that mode, and I must say it doesn't always do it in Drive, it tends to occur on roundabouts, especially when a 40 ton truck has entered the roundabout and there is just enough time to get out in front of it, perhaps the car hates me ?. or it's my driving. it used to do it in traffic and I have come close to rear ending a couple of cars, but that hasn't occurred for a long time. It has never occurred if I stop, 1st gear is selected, I then floor the throttle, acceleration is then normal .
I have got wise to it and when it occurs I don't floor the throttle if I can help it,

I have that lag as well but I try and anticipate it and drive around it. I must try it in sport or tiptronic.

I haven't been out today so testing tomorrow.

I have had the first service now but there is no software update for my gearbox, (the dealer may be wrong of course) so after a GBR there is little improvement if at all in 2nd gear change up revs.

It is something I will have to put up with for the time being.

Thanks for your help though.

This post on TDI Club discusses switching off the gearbox DSP using VCDS. DSP Off

"DSP is Dynamic Shift Program – it is what learns your driving style, load conditions etc. and adjusts the shift points automatically".

I wonder if it would work on a Treg. I would assume that it can just be switched on again....

I'm using OBDeleven and on the transmission control unit there is a message saying new version of software is avaliable, what version do other people have on their cars and what difference is there please?
Has anyone tried changing to the Cayenne option through OBDeleven or VCDS, does it make any difference?
