well the prop shaft on my 57reg V6 TDI Altitude went pop today at 76k under normal driving. A couple of days ago I noticed a new noise, an intermittent one which sounded like a distant pneumatic drill. Approximately 50 miles after noticing the new noise. Cost for repair about £500 using a/the refurbished prop shaft. Must say it is a relief as since I bought the car in October last year and didn't know if it had already been done. Now I hope I can drive in peace.
