Bit the bullet and got the local garage to remove the front diff, took it to my friendly Gearbox/Diff repair shop and they found one crown wheel bearing in pieces and the other well on the way, so that perculier noise that started at 55mph has turned out to be the Front Diff

Well the Diff started its way back into the Car yesterday, I went over early to fill Diff with the proper Oil, I have used Millers as I have used their oils extensively in the past and never had an oil related problem, apart from losing a vast amount when an engine sump grounded out on a Coach, I was not the driver ............

Got the Treg back this morning, what a difference, whisper quiet and a pleasure to drive.

Bill for Diff rebuild £260

Bill for Diff removal and replace £400

One happy Bunny, now to fix the non returning park brake!!
