Wife free zone this weekend, so just about to get settled and watch the start of the race in 30 mins. Plenty of beer in the fridge and curry sorted for this evening.

Will have the TV on all day and night but will no doubt crash out several times to be woken up by the sound of racing. The night time is my favourite part of the race.

I went there several years in a row in the 2000's but haven't been for about 10 years now so I'm getting a hankering to go there again.

The Toyotas have been incredible in qualifying but remembering last year's heartbreak for them, finishing is everything ;)

As I understand it, Le Mans is run under the Balalance of Performance (BOP) formula where practice times are used to adjust the balance and inlet restrictors to give identical lap times - so how come Toyota qualified first, were they just "sandbagging" more during practice?

The no. 7 Toyota had a perfect qualifying run on a clear track knocked no 2 secs off the lap record. After 4 1/2 hrs they are about 45 secs ahead of the no. 1 Porsche with the no. 8 Toyota second,

The no. 2 Porsche was in the pits for over an hour, so that now looks out of the race for the win 🤔

Looks like the Porsche is in overall lead and leading P1, the only car left running in P1, and the top 7 GTE Pro cars all on the same lap.

Porsche 1 out after stalling on circuit due to loss of oil pressure. Trying to limp back on battery power - chance now for Porsche 2 but needs to make up a lap and no more slow zones - going to be tight

Big chance of the 38 Oreca LMP2 winning as it currently leads the race but 2 Porsche is closing by 10-12 secs every lap. Less than 2 hrs to go

Exciting race - several twists and turns - heartbreak for Tiyita again but not as bad as last year with final lap breakdown.

Well done Porsche :)
