Hi all, my names Leon

I posted a little in the Towing Section before I bought the car (thank you all for your help and advice) I went for the 3.0 V6 Altitude n the in Grey (i'm not 100% sure on the shade)

I'It's a 57 plate on 70k and i'm the 3rd owner from new - the first being VW and was then bought at 3 months of age by an older couple that used it to tow their caravan & with full VW service history and has been well looked after, so fingers crossed it's a good one.

I've not even had chance to read the owners manual haha

Thank you

The last/only car I had with an opening rear window was a 1988 Hillman Imp - I've not missed it since, times move on.

If an opening rear window was an extra-cost option on Touareg, I wonder how many would tick that box when ordering a new car.

One of the features that swung me away from the T3 I was looking to buy, towards the RRS, that and the low range transfer box. Used it a lot when I had the T1 and was something I really missed when the switch stopped working due to a broken wire in the roof lining, near to the hinge. Great for giving my two dogs some air when parked.

Thank you all

I've now read the manual :-) Right ... I don't seem to have any of the 'Driver Assist' features? I certainly don't have the button/twist section on the indicator stalk, like it shows in the pic/manual. Does that mean I don't have them? or is there another way to access them? I have the big colour screen (Mif?) on the instrument panel and the RNS 510? Sat Nav.

Thank you

The manuals will always have all of the features VW offer on a car.

You need to get the build sheets, also called data sheets, from your local dealer for your car.

Every owner should have the build sheets as they detail exactly what your car does have.

Or get the build codes from the sticker in the spare wheel area and decipher them.

I got mine from the sticker in the boot, most useful, especially for things like disc sized etc.

As Nooby says, get a build spec sheet from the dealer or check the sticker in the service book or under the rear boot floor which will give you the build/option codes fitted to your car - decode them here:
