Hi

I have steering wheel shake on my 2013 T3.

Followed the Vw bulletin instructions but still shakes between 60-80 mph.

Has anyone used road force balancing on their T3 and did it help ?

Thanks

Dunno, but what tyres have you got on the car and are all 4 the same?

I've got 5,000 Mile General Gt's on the front. Rears are different and due to be changed soon.

I'd change the rear tyres to match the fronts and check the balancing of all 4 tyres again, ensuring that they are all torqued up properly (star pattern and 180 Nm).

Unless there is uneven tyre wear or obvious adverse tracking on the car when you are driving, the issue is most likely wheel balancing and incorrect torquing

Thanks cass.

The wheels have been balanced by different garages and torqued correctly to 180

How often do we have to tell people to run 4 IDENTICAL tyres?

Change all four tyres to Michelin Latitude Tour, balance and refit as per the VW TSB torqued to 133 ft lbs.

The Michelins were the tyres recommended by VW USA in cases like yours. If you can buy them with the Porsche or BMW mark so much the better as these are made to finer tolerances.
