Hello, I had the fiscon Bluetooth fitted a few weeks ago and works great, I've notice this weekend with being out a lot that the sat nav display on the dash is missing now and also the radio stations and I can no longer change channels. Is this just something I have to live with now after having the fiscon device fitted? Or is there something that can be done about it?
Please advise if I should start a new thread for this - not sure of the protocol...
My '09 V6 3.0 TDi has an RNS-510, that happily speaks to a number of phones but not my iPhone 6 Plus. I'm looking at either a Fiscon solution or possibly a Pioneer SPH-DA120 that includes AppleCar connectivity. I wonder if anyone has experience of fitting the Pioneer model, whether it messes with the in-dash display, or whether you have other solution ideas?
My wife has just bought a 2011 Toureg which has the RNS850 unit in but it's not enabled for Bluetooth. The guy who sold it recommended a separate Parrot unit which seems over the top when the RNS850 has the capability, but VW say 'they' can't upgrade the RNS850, however they strongly implied that I could get it done at a local specialist ...
I found a company that said they could do it with a gadget for about £400, ie double the separate Parrot unit
Find a person with a VCDS (Vag com) and they can enable the hidden bluetooth in your RNS850.
I have done it for a couple of members.
